Shi Qingxuan had made the reservation way ahead of time. The room is as advertised-- large enough to fit 15 people. The chairs are nice and plush, all surrounding a private catwalk that ends in a small stage with a pole. There's also a mini bar with their personal bartender for the evening.

As for the host, Shi Qingxuan is already seated on one of the chairs, draped over the side with a drink in hand. They're wearing a tight-fitting cropped top with long sleeves, exposing their midriff nicely, legs covered in equally tight fitting pants. Their red-bottom heels scream designer. They don't look too cold since they're also wearing a light green jacket that seems to be made of pure fluff.

Qingxuan greets everyone who walks through the VIP room doors with a ready smile and a raise of their glass.

"Welcome! Take a seat, grab a drink, everything's on me!"

A young man stumbled in with a cheery grin, fluffy hair ruffled with a few stray flowers around his head.

"Hi there! I came as soon as I can after my walk through the park!" Ouyang Zizhen greeted, stepping inside to show his own faded dark green jacket, tight jeans and brown boots.

"Thanks for inviting me, name's Ouyang Zizhen!"

Qingxuan gets up almost immediately, walking up to ZiZhen their heels clacking loudly on the tiled floor. There's music already playing, though it's louder outside than in the private room.

"Ah, you're the one who just moved to Shanghai, aren't you?" They smile brightly. "It's finally nice to see you! I'm Shi Qingxuan!"

Zizhen nodded, chuckling lightly as he rubbed the back of his neck, "Yup! That's me! It's nice to meet you too!"

He hummed as he looked around the room in wonder, his brown eyes almost shining a golden hazel from the lights, "This place is real beautiful, I can't wait for the others to show up, it's so cool!"

"Me too!" Qingxuan laughs. "Well, we are a bit early! There's a few more coming along, too, so, um! Wanna sit down and wait for them? You can order whatever you like." They gesture to over the bar, where someone was waiting to take Zizhen's order. Or Qingxuan, if they wanted a refill.

"A nice cold drink of water would be nice," Zizhen smiled, settling by the bar as he reached up his head to adjust the flowers in his hair, "I'd like to wait for the others before I get anything stronger."

Jin Zixuan arrived at a fairly decent time. His client dinner meeting thankfully didn't extend. He freshened up a bit, not wanting to look tired.

Friends. It has been a while since he socialized outside work and he wanted to not be too formal with them so he even asked for people to help him pick clothes.

Jin Zixuan wore that black shirt he posted about, as well as a cream colored blazer. He didn't take it off yet. He got a little bit self-conscious in the crowd. But he mentally shrugged it off and walked into the VIP room.

"Hi, I am here for Shi Qingxuan's party?" he greeted the people nervously.

"Ah, I'm sure the bar has something light," Qingxuan tells Zizhen.

The door swings open right then, the music from the outside suddenly blaring through the door. Qingxuan turns their head to look at the newcomer, and their eyes sparkle when they recognize that shirt.

"Yes, that's me," Qingxuan says happily, raising the hand with the glass of something vaguely alcoholic. They grin wide. "And you're the romantic writer friend! Come in, come in! It's just us for now, but I'm sure everyone will arrive soon!"

Zizhen gasped at the sight of the newcomer, breaking into an excited fervor.

"Hey there! Glad you could make it," He cheered, quickly thanking the bartender for his drink before turning back to the man with a twinkle in his eyes, "You write romance?"

Shi Qingxuan and a companion welcomed him so he smiled back at them. He was earlier than he expected but it looked like the party has started with Shi Qingxuan holding a drink already.

Jin Zixuan introduced himself. "The name's Jin Zixuan. Thanks for the invite, Shi Qinqxuan and, you're that new kid who works in the library?"

"Yup! I figured since I loved books, might as well work in a place where there's lots of them! Name's Ouyang Zizhen!" Zizhen hummed, sipping on his cold drink to cool his nerves.

Ouyang Zizhen looked cheerful and bright-eyed. Jin Zixuan found his presence quite fascinating in the middle of Paradise Manor's VIP room. Shi Qingxuan looked elegant and relaxed.

"I guess it's time to get a drink? I am a bit nervous."

Jingyi let out an exasperated sigh as he finally made he was back to to the vip room. He knew people would come but didn't think it'd be this packed! He was happy that Shi Qingxuan had booked a vip room. At least they had there own space.

Trench-coat in hand, he pulled on the black turtle neck of his top that was hidden under another beige top. He sure was hot but in the literal way. Shi Qingxuan sure had done a great job of choosing an outfit for him but now he was starting to regret wearing so much clothes. At least his pants were a light texture so it didn't feel like he was cooking down below. You could say that Jingyi look sophisticated the only thing sticking out were the chicken socks that could be seen peeking from the short hem of his pants.

He placed the trench-coat back on to the chair and sat next to his new found friend and grinned, "I got lost on the way back from the bathroom."

Zizhen walked over with an easy grin, "Hey there, hot stuff, need a drink?"

He giggled at his silly little word play while offering the glass of cold water, "Hope you don't mind water though and welcome to the party!"

Wait. What? Jingyi was very much confused.Was he flirting!?

His eyes went to the water and back at the young man. "Sure..." He looked at the glass. "This isn't pure Vodka is it, because I wouldn't be surprised." Jingyi had a feeling that he might already be drunk.

His face looked familiar, "Hey, I think I've spoken to you on your journal..Ah, the one with the owl!"

Zizhen tilted his head, confused, "Vodka? No, I didn't even know they were serving vodka, I just saw you looked a little stifled with heat and got you some water to cool off!"

He smiled and nodded though, "Ah, yeah! I didn't bring Lil B though, I don't think they'd appreciate the sudden influx of people."

Well wasn't that nice of him? Jingyi grinned, "Yeah, it's kinda hot in this thing but I think I'll survive." He thanked him and pressed the glass to his lips, letting the cool liquid invade his mouth.

He managed to swallow before coughing and barking out a laugh, "I don't think owls are made to hang out at strip clubs. "

"Oh?" He blinked and took another look around the room, squinting at the pole, "You know that makes so much sense, I was wondering why a few people were barely clothed."

Zizhen chuckled sheepishly, rubbing his neck, "This is the first time I've ever been to a strip club, we don't really have them in the countryside."

Wait? Was this for real? Did Ouyang Zizhen not a clue? He laughed once more, " I know it's summer but they're definitely not dressed like that because they're just hot."

Jingyi put his glass down and waved him off, "Hey, I've lived in the big ol' city and this is my first time in a place like this."

Zizhen hummed, smiling into his glass, "So far this place has been great, since you've been living here longer than I have, do you have any nice spots? I've heard about a cafe and a teashop but I don't really know where they are."

Jingyi blinked once, thinking for a moment. "Oh, my cousin has a flower and tea shop and his friend runs a cat cafe." He grinned, "Both have cats so you should definitely visit."

Zizhen nodded, placing down his empty glass of water, "I'll keep that in mind for later! Do you wanna go to the bar for some more drinks?"

That didn't sound like a bad idea. It was a good thing that they had their own personal bar in the room, "Sure, do you drink anything in particular? I'll probably just get a beer."

Considering is tolerance was non existent a beer was pretty much the only thing he could take.

Zizhen grinned and went over to the bar with his glass, "Maybe some gin if there's any! Some beer would be nice though, I haven't drunk any since I got here."

Ever since Zizhen hit the fields to help, he'd been introduced to alcohol as a beverage instead and while he wasn't an alcoholic like the other farmers, he would never turn down a chance for some liquid courage.
